THE CHALLENGE
Reverse Logistics Centers play a critical role in processing returned products, recovering value, and reducing landfill waste, but their operations can be difficult to understand without seeing them firsthand. The challenge was to translate a complex network of facilities, processes, performance data, and sustainability outcomes into a clear visual story for business partners.
Project Overview
PROJECT OVERVIEW
I traveled to The Home Depot’s Reverse Logistics Center in McDonough, Georgia, to tour the facility, understand its operations, and photograph the people, equipment, and processes behind the work.
Using those firsthand insights, stakeholder materials, and operational data, I designed an infographic explaining how the RLC network processes returned products, recovers value, and reduces waste. Every illustrated element was built as vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator using an isometric grid, creating a consistent visual system for the facility, equipment, products, and operational flow. The final design combines original photography, custom illustration, process visualization, and key metrics to make a complex operation easier for business partners to understand.
